The Sony Dream Machine Spy Camera

There are all different types of products that hide little cameras within them. Some are as small as keychains and others slightly larger objects like tissue boxes or other random items. Some of which if inspected very closely at all, someone would notice that something wasn’t quite right. Well this Sony Dream Machine Camera might actually keep people plenty fooled. It’s already an electronic, so having a lot of buttons isn’t something that’s out of the ordinary.Besides being a hidden camera, it also functions as a clock for wherever you need a camera. It will record video both day and night, come night time it will just conveniently switch to night vision all on its own. It can record in real-time and flip on automatically when it senses any motion. It can also take pictures instead of shooting video. You can set it to record on specific days and times or set it to the motion sensor. You can purchase it for $599.95 from the Sky Mall.

Meatball Grill Basket makes me want to whip out that credit card

The Meatball Grill Basket brings flame broiled goodnews to spaghetti and meatballs.

I’m a culinary disciple of the Food Network, particularly of Alton Brown. And as such, I have an aversion for “uni-taskers,” so-called kitchen gadgets that are only for one thing and spend 99% of their time just taking up space in your kitchen. As AB puts it, the only uni-tasker in your kitchen should be a fire extinguisher, just in case. But I’m Italian, and this Meatball Grill basket may force me to say “Not so fast, AB!”

Made of stainless steel, this basket can cook up to twelve meatballs on your grill at a time and allow the fat to drain off for some flame broiled goodness. Just roll the meatballs, open it up, place them in and then close them. Then, it’s a flip half way through what is probably the same cooking time as a burger patty for some flame broiled Italian goodness that’s definitely “good eats.”

Cost is $50 from Williams Sonoma

The Nephelios has two twin-bladed propellers and semi-flexible photovoltaic panels on top which collect solar energy that powers an electric motor. Its average speed is 25mph.

The eco-friendly aircraft is 72ft long and 18ft in diameter, makes little noise and is aimed at being an alternative to carbon-powered airships.

The Mommy I’m Here Child Locator

Attempting to keep track of an active toddler is never an easy task. Even for the most careful parent out there, it’s possible to lose track of them quickly, which can be nerve wrecking. You could also think you lost them, when in reality they’re just right behind you. With this little bear, you’d know that they’re always within 25 feet of you. It’s a two part device, the bear stays on the child and you have another half that stays on you. That makes it so that you know they’re still within a safe distance.

The bad thing is that 25 feet isn’t actually all that much range. If you’re in a big open park, you’d have to stay close to your child, despite that you’re in an area that they’d be safe to run. It would be nice if you could adjust the distance your child can be from you. When they do get outside that range, it gives a chirping type noise through your receiver to let you know. You can then activate the 86-decibel alarm on the child so that you can blow their eardrums find them quickly. The set will cost you $34.99 on Amazon.

Microsoft and Apple will go head-to-head this autumn, when they both launch new computer operating systems. Microsoft’s new software, Windows 7, hits the shops on October 22, but is already flying off the shelves – so many people tried to pre-order the operating system on launch day that it crashed the Microsoft website. Apple, meanwhile, releases Snow Leopard in September, and hopes that the latest version of OS X will appeal to the growing number of converts who are swapping their Windows PCs for Macs – Apple sold almost 10 million Macs last year, its highest ever figure. Here, we take a close look at some of the key features of both Windows 7 and Snow Leopard to see how they measure up:

Giant flying squid attack divers

Flying squid that weigh up to 100lbs have attacked divers in California.

The Humboldt squid, which have sharp beaks, are nicknamed "red devils" for their colouring and aggression.

Local diver Mike Bear said: "I wouldn't go into the water with them for the same reason I wouldn't walk into a pride of lions on the Serengeti. For all I know, I'm missing the experience of a lifetime."

Electric superbike on pole position

A British electric motorbike is poised to take on the best of the rest in the first zero-emissions Grand Prix on the Isle of Man, home of the Manx TT superbike races.

Kingston University's 102 mph Firstest will be joined on the starting grid on June 12 by competitors from America, India, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Says Rider George Spence: "The first test was a nerve-wracking experience, but the bike performed well and we have a genuine chance of being on the top step of the podium.

"We have been ironing out minor problems during testing, which is all part of the process when you have such a short time to build a bike, but preparations are going well.

The team began building the bike last October. It will run on a custom-built 72-volt battery that wastes only 10% of the energy compared with the 70% of a petrol engine.

Apart from its speed, the overall CO2 used by the bike, including charging the batteries, is half that of a petrol or diesel-power bike of similar performance.

UK 'has moral duty' to grow food

MPs have said the UK has a "moral duty" to produce more food such as fruit, vegetables and grains to prevent world hunger.

They said the country must help avert food shortages and the political instability they could lead to as predictions warn global food production will need to double by the middle of the century.

But boosting production needs to be sustainable in order to tackle climate change and conserve the natural world, the environment, food and rural affairs select committee warned.

Cranes 'nesting in The Fens again'

Conservationists believe that cranes may be breeding in the Fens of East Anglia for the first time in 400 years.

Experts at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) say they have spotted young birds at the Lakenheath Fen reserve near Brandon, Suffolk, in the past few weeks.

Large-scale draining of the wetlands and extensive hunting had led to the disappearance of these majestic birds from parts of Britain where they were once abundant.

An RSPB spokesman said: "They vanished because wetlands, like The Fens, were drained and their habitats destroyed and because they were so intensively hunted.

"To put it into perspective we now have about 1% of the original Fens - they once stretched from Cambridge to Lincoln."

A project aimed at encouraging their return of these birds to their wetland habitat was initiated in the early 1990s and the Lakenheath Fen reserve was created. Experts believe the programme may be seeing some success.

The spokesman said: "Cranes have nested in the Norfolk Broads in recent years and have made sporadic attempts elsewhere.

"But The Fens are significant because they were traditionally the stronghold of the crane and we have really been hoping that they would return to the area."

'Man fails to break clothes pegs on face record' - A man who holds the world record for having the most clothes pegs clipped to his face has narrowly failed to beat his own mark. Garry 'Stretch' Turner was hoping to clip more than 153 pegs to his face at the launch of the 2004 Guinness Book of Records in Manchester. But his effort at the city's Arndale Centre failed when he managed to clip on only 150 pegs, says the Manchester Evening News. The latest Guinness Book of Records features 1,000 new world records and is printed in 23 languages. (Story filed: 13:11 Thursday 30th October 2003)

The Long Neck

This distorts the growth of their collarbones and make them look as if they have long necks - which they don’t. This row of brass rings do not actually stretch their necks but in fact squash the vertebra and collar bones. A woman generally has about twenty or more rings around her neck. This neck ring

The cigarettes are rechargeable and use advanced micro-electronic technology to deliver nicotine to the user. The nicotine cartridges come in a variety of concentrations making it easy for you to slowly breakdown your intake. The draw from a cigarette is almost identical to traditional smoking. Rick is not a living dead, not yet anyway, but he is trying to make himself look like a zombie and so far he’s doing a great job.

A big fan of horror movies, especially George A. Romero’s Living Dead movies, Rick has become a big fan of zombies and ultimately decided he wanted to become one. As a kid he liked The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon and he wanted to be a turtle and live in the sewers, but, with age, he became more mature and decided to become a zombie instead.

So far he has invested over 4000 Canadian dollars into over 24 hours of tattoos and piercings and says his about halfway to realizing his dream. In the meantime he’s become somewhat of an Internet celebrity due to his unique appearance.

Check out an interview with Rick the Zombie Boy over on Bizarre, if you want to know more about him.

The 500-year-old book was printed in 1502 by Wynkyn de Worde - who established the first printing press in Fleet Street.

The priceless book, one of only three known copies, has been donated to the John Rylands University Library after there were fears of its condition deteriorating at St Mary's Church in Nantwich, Cheshire, where it was kept for years.

Text Size BMW's design department has been working overtime lately. Just last month, the German automaker unveiled its M1 Homage Concept at the Villa d'Este Concours on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. Now, Munich has officially taken the wraps off of a new design study called the GINA Light Visionary Model, a creation BMW says shouldn't be thought of as "just another concept car," but rather "a whole new approach to automotive design."
